Racing Club Update

News of another horse who will be running in the Club’s name and colours –

CHANCE IT (IRE) is an 8 year old bay gelding who has just come over from Ireland. He is by Tajraasi (USA) out of Lafanta (IRE) who is by Oscar (IRE). Although still a maiden, he has experience over both hurdles and fences and following a few outings in point to points in the spring, ran in a hurdle race at Tramore on 1st June when he was beaten just over 11 lengths.

Following a very quiet period over the past few weeks, I’ve made a couple of entries for Newton Abbot next Wednesday (15th August).

ARCHIE RICE and CHANCE IT are both entered in the Racing Partnership Trp Handicap Hurdle over 2 miles, for which there are 28 entries. Archie is due to carry 11st 5lbs and Chance It 11st. I’ll be in touch again early next week when plans have been finalised.

MONET MOOR and GILLY GRACE are both well, but as you all know I have been unable to run them owing to the fast ground we’ve had all summer.

ICE KONIG had a slight knock after his run at Newton last month and he has needed some time to recover which has been frustrating as he doesn’t mind the prevailing quick conditions! Such is life when dealing with racehorses!

Regards to all,
Jim
