Racing Club Update

ICE KONIG seems fine after his run yesterday. We were pleased with him as he stayed on well from an unpromising position in what was rough race to finish 4th and we’re sure his turn will come before too long.

ARCHIE RICE and Philippa thoroughly enjoyed themselves in the Charity Race even though they didn’t feature in the placings. Hats off to Racing Welfare, the racecourse and the sponsors for putting this race on as all those who took part were given a wonderful time and looked after extremely well. Thank you, too, to all of you who supported Archie and Phil yesterday and to those who have also supported this very deserving Charity. Archie is now ready to have a run over hurdles as soon as a suitable race comes up.

Following her fall, BRYONY spent the night in hospital as a precaution. She is battered and bruised and will need some time to recuperate. Again, thank you to everyone who has enquired after her and sent their best wishes.

To update you on the other Club horses – both GILLY GRACE and MONET MOOR are very well, but will wait for better ground.

Following a couple of runs in point to points, it was obvious that GOLAN DANCER was not enjoying his racing. It has, therefore, been decided to retire him from racing and he has been found a lovely home on a farm down in Cornwall.

Regards,
Jim
