6th of July 2018 – THE RACING STAFF WEEK CUP
RAISING FUNDS FOR RACING WELFARE
PHILIPPA HYNE AND ARCHIE RICE
This will be Archie’s 90th race of which he has won 16 races and over £50,000 in prize money.
His first run was 10 years ago this month.
He was born at Claiborne Farm, Kentucky USA, and was sold as a foal for $65,000 and resold at the Keeneland sales as a yearling for $105,000. He then came to England to be trained at Newmarket by Willie Jarvis. He eventually arrived at Jimmy Frost’s in late 2014 and has been a favourite of the yard and a stalwart of The Frost Racing Club, running 26 times , winning 7 times and placed 10 times.
His rider Philippa has horses in her blood and her father rode in Point to points. She has been riding since she could walk but the charity race will be her first foray into race riding although she would love the opportunity in the future to ride in Point to points.
She has worked at the Frosts racing yard for 6 years and took over as head girl from Bryony Frost when she left the family yard to pursue her career
Donations to support Racing Welfare can be made at this link or else please give money to Jimmy and tell him it’s for Philippa and Archie.
